Interview

Personal Interview

The purpose of this assignment is for you to get an example of a person who uses a bicycle for their activities of daily life in Raleigh, why they do it, what benefits they receive from it, and the problems they experience.  I will connect each of you with a cyclist who has volunteered to be interviewed.  Please contact them well in advance of the due date to set up an interview time.  Please be respectful of your interviewees time–they are likely to be very busy.  Make up a list of 10-15 questions for your interviewee, taking into account the material we have talked about in class.  (Your grade will be partially based on whether your interview questions take into account class material.).

Here are the interview assignments.  I have ten bikers who volunteered to be interviewed and we have 21 students in the class.  Because of this, I am asking you to do your interviews in pairs.  First make contact with your fellow classmate. Then one of your should email the person who agreed to be interviewed (copying your fellow student) introducing yourselves and seeing if you can set up a time for the interview.  I imagine it would be best to do the interview on zoom, so you can both participate.  If you have trouble getting in touch either with your fellow interviewer or your interviewee, please let me know.
