Again, this is basically a literature review on a topic of interest that relates to imprecise probability in some way.  A working list of potential topics for the project is given on the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress-courses2223.wolfware.ncsu.edu\/st-790-001-fall-2022\/project\/\">Project page<\/a> on the course website.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is the project timeline, including the two checkpoints prior to the due date where I&#8217;d be able to offer some feedback, suggestions, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>A project proposal is due to me via email on <em>Friday, October 14th<\/em>. This is just a short document that lists the general topic that you plan to investigate, a brief explanation of why you&#8217;re interested in or why you chose this topic (e.g., the topic&#8217;s connection to the stat\/ML research project you are or hope to be working on for your PhD), and a list of a few (3&#8211;5) references that you&#8217;ve found to get your literature review started.  If you&#8217;re working in pairs, then only one proposal document (with both group members&#8217; names) needs to be submitted.<\/li><li>By <em>Friday, November 4th<\/em>, students should send me an email with an informal update on their progress. This is just to make sure that everything is going smoothly, that you&#8217;ve found references, and you have a plan of what to include in your project write-up.
